From his early days on an Idaho family farm, fresh and healthy food has long been a part of David's life. “One of the best kept secrets in LA” is his 30 plus years providing impeccable catering to the Greater Los Angeles area.
David’s early study at the Culinary Institute of America in Connecticut led him to restaurant and off-site catering. Executive positions at LA Marriott Hotels. From there he served as Executive Chef at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
He desired to chart his own path which led him to create David Catering, now known as DCLA Catering. David knows the most important requirement for a caterer is to listen to his clients and offer his guidance to bring his clients vision to life. David ’s team also share his work ethic, David continues to impart his knowledge with clients, Chefs and the entire DCLA Catering team. David treats his staff as if they were family.

Omar began learning early about authentic cuisine while at his mother's side in Puebla, Mexico.
The youngest of five, his family all worked in the hospitality industry which led Omar to culinary school and a senior position at El Paraje and Rancho Colorado in Puebla (Mexico).
Omar decided to leave Pueblo and to move to America to expand his culinary vision. Omar met David, who brought him to DCLA Catering. Omar has continued his training under David’s expertise and has expanded his knowledge to include a American, Italian, Mexican and Greek cuisine to name a few.
As Executive Chef, he collaborates with David and our clients to create unique menus for their events. Omar has a keen eye for presentation of cuisine. He works closely with the cooks and other staff he directs. He knows they share the same enthusiasm and together they exceed our clients’ expectations. In any situation, you will find Omar organized and efficient and always with a smile on his face.
